Walking Holidays in Guernsey

Guernsey

Highlights
  • Explore the picturesque capital of Guernsey, St Peter Port
  • Taste fresh fruit from the gardens at one of the islands many ’Honesty Stalls’.
  • Walk along fine sandy bays with the sand between your toes
  • Feast on Guernsey "gâche", a traditional fruit loaf with lashings of Guernsey butter.
  • Admire the aquamarine sea below as you walk atop the cliffs of the South Coast.
  • Discover the "pepper pots" which dot the island, originally built to defend the coastline.
  • Step into art itself as you navigate the paths painted by Renoir in 1883

The island of Guernsey is perfect for exploring on two feet! As with all the Channel Islands, you can expect a unique fusion of Anglo-French culture & history, coastlines of beautiful bays and azure waters, and (more often than not!) favourable sunny weather. Life moves at a lovely slower pace here and as you walk along, perhaps sampling some fruit from some of the island's "honesty stalls" you will find yourself immersed in this unique island lifestyle!

Enjoy the coastal path for a diverse and contrasting experience of the island, or discover it as part of an exciting island-hopping itinerary!  And don't forget the dairy products; expect possibly the most delicious ice cream you'll ever try!

If you are an art lover, Guernsey offers the landscapes that Renoir painted himself in 1883. Walk through Moulin Huet Valley featuring the panoramic views that inspired the impressionist portraits he created. You can even visit the Renoir Walk - a permanent exhibition there.
