The best beaches of the Channel Islands

St Brelade's Bay - one of the most popular beaches in Jersey, this beach has a huge stretch of golden sands and being south-facing, it gets the sunshine for most of the day!

Greve de Lecq - on the rocky north coast of Jersey, and close to the Devil's Hole, a dramatic natural feature in a collapsed cave - a great spot to watch the wildlife!

The rocky cove of Greve de Lecq beach

Portelet - you will pass this sheltered beach as you do our loop walk from St Aubin on our Channel Islands: Jersey, Guernsey and Sark tour. Accessed by a steep path, its well worth the walk down to this unique beach where at low tide, a natural causeway to the islet forms, leaving a perfect swimming lagoon.

St Ouen's - a gorgeous, golden sandy beach popular with surfers this is more a beach for taking in the beautiful views and fresh sea air than it is for any type of swimming!

Plemont - pass this amazing bay as you walk round the Jersey Coastal Path. It is one of Jersey's most sheltered beaches, surrounded on either side by high cliffs and caves.

The blue waters of Plemont Bay

L'Ancresse Bay - one of the longest stretches of beach in Guernsey, you would be forgiven for thinking you are somewhere entirely more exotic when you see the colour of the turquoise water here.

Fermain Bay - the first beach you will come to as you set off on the Guernsey Coastal Path. It's a very pretty, pebbly cove and the beach cafe overlooking it serves great snacks too!

Fermain Bay, a sheltered cove

Dixcart Bay - reached by a lovely walk on the coast path in Sark, this tiny little bay has an arch and a cave, but make sure you check the tides as it is pretty much covered up at high tide.

If you can see yourself wondering along one of these beaches, contact one of our team today to ask more about our Channel Islands walking holidays.
